Website updates and birthday blessings...
One of my favorite things is to be commissioned for special occasions. I was so honored when a friend requested one of my pieces as her group gift. My friend Susan came over and we had a grand time creating this necklace. I love it! These are the matching earrings from me...
I've been working like a maniac updating my website and switching over to Pay pal. Hope you enjoy the new collections! More on the way...
More vintage reworking...
While I'm on the subject of incorporating precious keepsakes, my mom gave me a brooch she purchased in Paris when we lived there back in the early sixties. This Christmas, I de-and-reconstructed it into this necklace. She continues to get over the top compliments and I think it has become her favorite of my pieces. I would happily give anyone a consultation if you are interested in making something old something new. Click here to contact me to schedule an appointment.
Something old, something new...
I am often asked to do custom work for special occasions. It is always an honor to be a part of the celebration. Yesterday, my friend Gena came over with a silk pouch filled with a precious collection that included her mother's watch, gifts from her husband, pendants, charms, and earrings whose mates had long been lost. We gathered up all the bits and pieces to make this necklace. It felt holy, to gather up the parts and unite them into one sacred place: a necklace that rests close to the heart.
Spring Show April 9th, Personalize for Mother's Day
Spring Show April 9th
From 10-1 before out Tree of Life Workshop begins I will have an open house for you to come and shop, shop, shop! Consider personalizing an item Mother's Day with an initial ($15) or your child's fingerprints made into a silver charm($20). Simply choose your embellishment or let me take a mold of your child's fingerprint and come back at the end of the day for the addition. (Or Contact me for a custom order. Consider birthstone color, favorite color, children's prints, or monograms.)
Teacher, Mother's Day, or any day gift idea!
Last year's second-grade class commissioned this necklace for their teacher. I am so tickled with how well the little fingerprint with student initial charms came out. The teacher's daughter made the silver rose button charm, and we added amethyst chain, the recipient's birth stone. I love customizing for special occasions and am so honored to be called upon to commemorate anniversaries and birthdays. I am going to write a tutorial on this project. In fact, with Mother's Day approaching, I think my mom needs a necklace her grand children's fingerprints all over it.
